My MENDELU is the official app of Mendel University in Brno and the digital center of life on campus. Built natively for iOS and Android by the Smart MENDELU team in Q13, integrated with the university information system, used daily by thousands of students.
Modules
The app is modular. Each module solves one real problem on campus, and new ones ship regularly.
In practice
The timetable pulls straight from the university information system and pings you 10 minutes before class, with the room already on the map. The canteen menu shows what is actually worth walking over for, with photos, ratings and allergen filters.
News from the rectorate, faculties and student organizations land in one feed. Urgent events, outages and safety alerts arrive as push notifications, so the whole campus knows within minutes.
Indoor floor plans of every building, down to printers and vending machines, plus public transport stops. The map also carries open days and events like the Night of Scientists, where it doubles as a public-facing showcase of the university.
One press sends an emergency alert with a precise GPS location to the university crisis staff. My MENDELU is the official channel for reporting emergencies at MENDELU, anchored in the university's internal regulations.
AI assistants handled more than 50,000 questions in 2025, and over half of those conversations happened outside working hours. Students get answers immediately, staff get their time back.
Graduates register directly in the app, get a digital alumni card with perks, and stay reachable through push communication. The university keeps its community instead of losing it at graduation.
A personal task list that automatically picks up obligations from the FAQ guides. Students track everything in one place — from registering for exams to collecting a student ID — without switching apps.
Smart study department
Students book an exact time slot through the app or a touch panel at the office door. No standing in line, no crowded corridors, and the staff can plan their day instead of reacting to it.
Web administration
The university manages modules, content and data from a single web interface: FAQ, map, messages, alumni and more. A platform for long-term operation, not a one-off project.
Who builds it
My MENDELU is the flagship product of the Smart MENDELU team, the university's internal development department based in Q13. The same department also builds the web systems that run the university back office.
